Do not accept any assignment for which you do not feel completely qualified.

Do not accept more than one assignment for the same period of time.

Always remain completely loyal to the speaker and to his/her words. If you do not understand some piece of information, do not attempt to recreate the words of the speaker. Either omit the information completely if it is not vital to the statement, or ask the speaker to repeat, rephrase or clarify the misunderstood information.

Do not add your own opinions/thoughts/emphasis to what you interpret; you are simply relaying a message, not creating your own.

Always use the same register as the speaker - do not replace words with slang or attempt to make the speaker sound more professional.
