Business interpreting
in the community is very different than business interpreting used
in a conference setting. Community business interpreting occurs
on a much smaller scale and is less formal. Rather than interpreting
speeches at large venues, these business interpreters typically
interpret between only a few people. Examples of business interpreting
settings include:
Training for Insurance Agents (groups of 8-10) who will be reaching
the foreign markets
Evaluating hotel, restaurant, etc.
workers (2-3 people)
Professional Training for Technical
Engineers (groups of 3-10) from the company's foreign branches (Automotive
Industry)
